U Care Back to School Vouchers 2012

U Care Back to School Vouchers  2012 - Application Opens Now

We are pleased to announce that application for this year's U Care Back to School (BTS) vouchers is now open.

As a caring Labour Movement, the “U Care Back to School” (BTS) Voucher Programme aims to assist our low-income union members to defray the cost of their children's school expenses for the new school year. This year, we have set aside a budget of $4.8 million to potentially help some 38,000 members’ children. Each successful BTS applicant will receive $125 worth of vouchers for each eligible school-going child.

Members who meet the eligibility criteria as stated on the application form may apply.

The Eligible Criteria is as follows:

1. Total Monthly Gross Household Income of $2,800+ and below; OR per capita income of $725+ and below if household income exceeds $2,800.

2. Member must have a minimum of 6 months continuous paid-up union membership at the point of application and is not in arrears.

3. Member’s child/children must be studying in Kindergarten 1 or 2; Government/Government-Aided/Independent Schools (Primary or Secondary) under MOE; Junior Colleges; Institute of Technical Education; Millennia Institute; Polytechnics or MOE-registered Special Education Schools in 2013.

For Ordinary Branch Members, please go your union office for the application form.

For the General Branch Members, please go www.ntuc.org.sg/ucare/apply to apply.

The application period will close on Monday, 10 Sept 2012.
